Disclaimer
This webpage
is my partial list of events (conferences, workshops, etc.) of personal
interest.
Because of my busy schedule, I cannot guarantee that it is ever up-to-date
or complete. I never actually intended for the list to become public,
but it occasionally serves as a useful reference to others.
One of my original reasons for starting this list
was to cache conference deadlines so that they would not be unavailable
when the conference websites go down.
Now it also serves as a sort of historical record for some conferences.
That said, here are a few more details about the event list:
- The events are listed by default according to cryptic abbreviations.
In most cases, I follow the abbreviation used by the conference, but
sometimes such abbreviations do not exist, so I make them up.
If you're not used to the abbreviations, try a search.
- Selecting a conference from the main list brings up that event
entry over whatever number of years I've been recording,
with the latest entry first.
- Each event entry caches several piece of information in case the
conference website goes down or is slow (or never existed).
All of this information is entered manually by me.
- Due: When papers/abstracts/videos/etc. are due
- When: Dates of the conference
- Where: Location of the conference.
Always ends with a country, to allow searching by country (e.g., USA).
- Accept: Notification deadline (letters of acceptance/rejection).
- Final: Final papers deadline (after acceptance).
- Register: Registration deadline or early registration deadline.
- Hotel: Deadline for booking the hotel.
- URL: Conference webpage.
- Topic: A rough description of the area of the conference (e.g.,
geometry, algorithms). Sorting by topic is intended to be useful.
- Note: Miscellaneous notes: succeeding/precedencing conferences,
publication info, "by invitation only," etc.
- You can display a month-by-month calendar of events,
including deadlines, dates of occurrence, etc.
The event list is displayed live from a Perl CGI script that I wrote.
I plan to publish it in the future, but I'd prefer to improve it first.
